Joe was a Director and Shareholder with the firm since 1990 and was an integral part of making our firm what it is today.  In 2023, Joe became “Of Counsel”, handling a smaller case load while transitioning to his role as a private mediator with the Prism Group.

Known for his tenacity and strategic defenses, Joseph has built a notable reputation over the course of his more than 37-year career. His moral compass guides his everyday decisions, allowing him to secure the best possible outcomes for his clients on every front. He has been recognized for his work and has achieved the rating of AV Preeminent, the highest possible rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards reflecting the confidential opinions of Members of the Bar and Judiciary.

Using his expertise in the field, he has been recognized as a contributing author to The Longshore Textbook and has been a speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars sponsored by the Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, Louisiana Association of Self-Insured Employers, Lorman Education Services, the National Business Institute, the Annual Longshore Conference and the New Orleans Bar Association. He is a past Member and former Board representative for the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. In 2018 he was inducted into the prestigious College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.

Outside of his illustrious law career, Joseph has served as a Cub Scout Den Leader and Boy Scout Patrol Leader and a young boys coach and girls softball coach at Johnny Bright Playground. He has been a long time parishioner and Lector at St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie. He is presently a member of Kiwanis Dawn Busters.
